A director and photographer, Alix Spence focuses on process and the tactility of the image.
She is interested in concept and revealing a narrative through form. Alix received a BA in Film Studies from King’s College London in 2012 and an MFA in Film & TV Production from the University of Southern California in 2015. She was the youngest of 8 chosen for the National Film and Television School’s Directing Intensive in 2011.
She has directed and shot for companies such as Flaunt Magazine, Diesel, NARS, and Sephora. Her first group photography show featured 8 photographs at the Brick Lane Gallery in London, England in 2013. Her work has been featured on Pitchfork, The Fader, Stereogum, and more. She currently resides in East Los Angeles.
