Caitlin FFrench - Vancouver, BC

Caitlin ffrench is a Canadian artist working with wildcrafted pigments from within the landbases she visits where she gathers discarded stones, bricks, and other waste to grind into useable pigments to make paint.

ffrench paints with wildcrafted pigments as a way to find the connections between place and memory.

Her photography practice is film based- the cameras she uses most often are her Bronica, Pentax K1000, and a Polaroid Landcamera that shoots packfilm which is no longer in production.

This will be Cailtin’s third residency here at the Ou!
