Join us for the opening night as part of the 'Cowichan Bay Holiday Sashay' happening December 6th from 5-8pm!
”I grew up a stone’s throw from Deep Cove in North Vancouver where docks, boats and water were never far away... Many of the pieces in this show were drawn in the late 1980’s and early 90’s, during sketching trips to marinas around the southern coastline of Vancouver Island, including Cowichan Bay.
“This collection of work has been stored away in drawers in dark basements and has rarely seen the light of day for the last 30 years. Having moved to the Cowichan Valley about a year ago; it feels as though I am returning these drawings to their rightful home where they may be released to the world from which they came." - Dorian Melton
The Ou is thrilled to be able to present a selection of these lively & character filled drawings (made in ink & conte) at our satellite gallery, The Bay-Ou which overlooks the marina & Mount Tzouhalem.
Located on 1725 Cowichan Bay Road just behind Classic Marine.
