Art Opening – Studies in Predictable Motion

Join us Saturday evening from 6-9pm at the Ou Gallery for the opening reception of Zach Hoskin's 'Studies in Predictable Motion' - a selection of work that creates anything but predictable reactions. Find yourself in one the portraits, or lose yourself for a moment in the layers of gravity weighted colour.

Show open Saturdays & Sundays from 11-4pm until August 27th

Artist Bio:

Hoskin’s subject matter often involves the human face and figure, manufactured landscapes, and happy accidents. His continual exploration of experiences is an attempt to absorb, explore, understand, and balance all of the little bits that make up this massively complex, painfully beautiful, and consistently confusing trip that is; existence as a human being.

His practice relies heavily on process, and oftentimes straddles the line between experimentation and strict rules and structure. He works in a variety of mediums and techniques including: painting, graphic design, music, illustration, photography, words, and observation. He believes that most things worth learning are done through questioning, experimentation, process, and a whole bunch of failure.

His work can be viewed at, or by rubbing your wrists together three times and tugging gently on your left earlobe.
